Of course, I work at the BRC, and y’all know I am an ally, but it’s more than that.
I am the Volunteer Coordinator. I help organize and synchronize the personal and professional availabilities of dozens of volunteers to tailor their expertise to the ongoing needs of supporting the LGBTQ+ community and El Paso.
Every quarter, they spend hundreds of hours in our community pantry. They distribute to individuals and families in need, regardless of income, residency status, or membership in the LGBTQ+ community.
Volunteers have supported our community outreach during Pride events in El Paso, TX, and Las Cruces, NM. In addition, UTEP student volunteers have spent time speaking on campus, created social media content, and taken on hours to welcome guests into our office- directing them to the resources they need.
Volunteers are LGBTQ+ community members and allies who work to make El Paso a better and safer place.
Supporting and reinforcing Borderland Rainbow Center’s programs and projects allows them to heal, grow, and empower themselves and others when they give us their time.
Your donations amplify their contributions! Thank you on behalf of the Best Active Volunteer Team of the Borderland Rainbow Center.
