What kind of community do you envision for yourself and your family? We believe in creating an engaged, well-informed, and vibrant region where every resident has access to enhanced quality-of-life services, such as improved parks and community resources.

That’s where Moms on Board (MOB) comes in! We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to making El Paso an even more family-friendly place to live. Our mission is simple: to work closely with local leadership to enhance family accommodations and keep families thriving in our city.

Our achievements so far include More Shade at City parks, which includes 18 metal shade structures and policy requiring shade at every new park, City allocated 1.8 million dollars to new amenities at the spray parks, Improvements and more maintenance at Game Fields, Montoya Road speed Bumps, Children Museum - advocated for the extra 20 million dollars for project, City Park Bond - last June MOB went to City Council to voice MOB members’ grievances of El Paso City parks. We gave the City a substantial amount of research that resulted in a multi-layered ask with priorities starting in community parks and ending in regional parks. We discussed the lack of restrooms, lack of rubber surfacing, lack of shade, and various other concerns. In the November ballot of 2022 City proposed three propositions for funding issues that were defined as most important to El Paso voters: Streets, Parks, and a Climate Action Plan. Parks & Recreation Facilities passed by 53%!

MOB has also spearheaded the following initiatives:

All-Abilities Playground at Ascarate Park: This groundbreaking park will be accessible to everyone, regardless of their needs, marking a first in our region.

MOB THE VOTE: Raises awareness of newly-elected officials and upcoming elections.

A HEALTHY MOB: Equips families with the resources and opportunities they need to achieve overall health and wellness.

Back-to-School Event: An exciting event featuring free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and more, all designed to prepare children for the upcoming school year.

Here’s where you come in: We need your support to continue our vital work. Your generous donation will help us sustain our efforts and community engagement events.

Together, we can build a healthier, more informed, and stronger community for all.
