I am part of the El Paso Aphasia Community Center. A non-profit organization that helps people who have had a stroke or a brain injury and now are unable to understand or express speech.

I am an 11-year stroke survivor and found this amazing group. I finally found the name to what was happening to me. I find it hard to find the words to express myself, and being misunderstood.

I can see the impact that this community offers us and our caregivers as well. For more information visit our facebook page and/or epaphasiaconnection.org. Weekly zoom meetings gives us the opportunity to interact among each other in a safe place. In turn, it gives us the confidence to interact with the rest of the world.
