Partner Eligibility Requirements 2024
To be a participant of El Paso Giving Day (EPGD) 2024, your organization must comply with the following through December 31, 2024:
- Be headquartered and/or provide services in Paso del Norte region, El Paso County, TX, Luna County, NM, Doña Ana County, NM, Otero County, NM, Hudspeth County, TX, and Municipality of Juarez Chihuahua, MX.
- Be a publicly supported charitable organization or Type I supporting organization or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of public charity described in sections 170(b)(l)(A)(vi), 501(c)(3), and 509(a)(l), 509(a)(2) or 509(a)(3) or a of the * Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
- Be in good standing in the state(s) in which you operate and with the IRS, filed current state and federal tax returns, and not be in violation of any applicable state, local or federal law, ordinance, or regulation
- Pay the $10 fee to register your organization.
- Private foundations, places of worship, and individuals are not eligible to participate.
Partnership Terms 2024
Understand and agree as follows:
- Each gift processed as part of El Paso Giving Day is made to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF). The Paso del Norte Community Foundation will issue automatic tax-receipts for all gifts made as part of El Paso Giving Day. Participating nonprofits may send thank you letters for gifts designated to their organizations but may not issue a tax-receipt.
- Each gift processed through El Paso Giving Day must be used exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.
- All donations through El Paso Giving Day must be 100% tax deductible; consequently, no goods or services may be exchanged for the gift. Neither your organization nor any person raising funds for your organization can offer any kind of incentive (time, product, or consideration) in exchange for donations made through El Paso Giving Day.
- Your organization is solely responsible for cultivating each donor. El Paso Giving Day is only responsible for providing a tax receipt, which will be sent electronically immediately after a gift is received.
- El Paso Giving Day is a vehicle that allows individuals to donate to nonprofit organizations on their own initiative and that it is not intended as a vehicle to facilitate gifts that you have solicited through other means, such as payment for event sponsorships, meals or banquets, pledge payments, purchase raffle tickets or payment of membership dues or fees.
- El Paso Giving Day will not share or sell donor information to any other organization or entity, but El Paso Giving Day and Paso del Norte Community Foundation does reserve the right to communicate with donors for the purpose of user surveys, newsletters, and general education about philanthropy.
- Your organization must actively publicize your partnership with El Paso Giving Day in a responsible and appropriate way in your print, electronic and social media, including in your annual report, website, newsletters, press releases, email communications, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Tumbler, using the El Paso Giving Day logo and trademarks when doing so. El Paso Giving Day grants you a revocable, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use its logo and trademarks solely for such purpose.
- All information entered on your El Paso Giving Day profile must be accurate and correct.
- Participants in El Paso Giving Day are expected to engage in actions consistent with the mission of Paso del Norte Community Foundation and agree to not use the EPGD platform to disseminate misinformation or malign the work of other participating non-profit organizations.
- El Paso Giving Day may remove your profile from www.ElPasoGivingDay.org in its sole discretion at any time.
- Each donation made to a participating nonprofit will be disbursed via direct deposit six to eight weeks after El Paso Giving Day and will include any available incentive prizes or matching funds.
- Your organization must immediately notify El Paso Giving Day if there is a change in your organization’s partnership eligibility requirements on or before December 31, 2024.
- El Paso Giving Day is a program of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) and all donations are subject to the ultimate control of the PdNCF and its board.
The PdNCF charges a small fee of $10 to area nonprofit organizations for participation. The PdNCF invests more than $35,000 a year in in-kind support to cover the costs of coordinating, accounting, and administering El Paso Giving Day. El Paso Giving Day reserves the right to amend, modify, or waive any of the foregoing terms and conditions without your consent and to interpret and construe these terms and conditions in its sole discretion.
Donor Terms 2024
Understand and agree as follows:
- El Paso Giving Day is a program of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF) and all donations are subject to the ultimate control of the PdNCF and its board.
- Each gift processed as part of El Paso Giving Day is made to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation. The Paso del Norte Community Foundation will issue tax-receipts for all gifts made as part of El Paso Giving Day. Participating nonprofits may send thank you letters for gifts designated to their organizations but may not issue a tax-receipt. El Paso Giving Day will collect bank drafts up to one week after El Paso Giving Day.
- All donations through El Paso Giving Day must be 100% tax deductible; consequently, no goods or services may be exchanged for the gift. A participating organization nor any person raising funds for an organization can offer any kind of incentive (time, product or consideration) in exchange for donations made through El Paso Giving Day.
- El Paso Giving Day will not share or sell donor information to any other organization or entity. El Paso Giving Day and Paso del Norte Community Foundation reserve the right to communicate with donors for the purpose of user surveys, newsletters and general education about philanthropy.
