Participating Nonprofit Organization Eligibility and Terms, Matching Fund Guidelines, and Donor Terms

Partnership Eligibility

To participate in El Paso Giving Day (EPGD) 2026, an organization must meet the following requirements from the date it signs this form through December 31, 2026:

Be headquartered in or provide services in the El Paso region.
Be in good standing in its state of organization and in each state where it operates.
Be a publicly supported charitable organization or Type I supporting organization, or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of an eligible public charity, as described in Sections 170(b)(1)(A)(vi), 501(c)(3), and 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2), or 509(a)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as applicable.
Be current in filing required state and federal tax returns and comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Pay the $25 participation fee.
Private foundations, places of worship, individuals, and 501(c)(4) organizations are not eligible to register as participating nonprofit organizations.

An otherwise eligible organization that is affiliated with a 501(c)(4) organization may participate in El Paso Giving Day but is not eligible for Meta matching funds.

A 501(c)(4) is a tax-exempt social welfare organization operated primarily to promote the common good and general welfare of the community. It may engage in substantial lobbying and some political campaign activity, subject to applicable limits. Contributions to a 501(c)(4) generally are not deductible as charitable contributions. www.irs.gov

Partnership Terms

El Paso Giving Day will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with Early Giving from Thursday, October 8, through Wednesday, October 14, 2026. All times stated in these terms are Mountain Time. Participating nonprofit organizations understand and agree as follows:

Each gift processed through El Paso Giving Day is made to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation (PdNCF). PdNCF will issue the tax receipt for gifts made through El Paso Giving Day. Participating nonprofits may send thank-you letters for gifts designated to their organizations, but they may not issue a second tax receipt for those gifts.
Gifts received through El Paso Giving Day must be used exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.
No goods or services may be exchanged for a gift made through El Paso Giving Day. Neither a participating organization nor anyone raising funds on its behalf may offer time, products, admission, or other benefits in exchange for a donation.
Each organization is responsible for cultivating and thanking its donors. PdNCF is responsible for issuing tax receipts for gifts processed through the El Paso Giving Day website.
El Paso Giving Day may not be used to process payments for event sponsorships, meals, banquets, raffle tickets, membership dues or fees, or other purchases.
Each organization must responsibly publicize its participation in El Paso Giving Day through appropriate print, electronic, and social media communications. PdNCF grants participating organizations a revocable, royalty-free, nonexclusive license to use El Paso Giving Day logos and trademarks solely to promote their participation.
El Paso Giving Day may remove an organization’s profile from ElPasoGivingDay.org in its sole discretion.
All information entered into an organization’s El Paso Giving Day profile must be accurate and kept current.
El Paso Giving Day will not sell donor information. El Paso Giving Day and PdNCF may communicate with donors about surveys, newsletters, and general education about philanthropy.
Donations designated to a participating organization will generally be disbursed by direct deposit six to eight weeks after El Paso Giving Day, together with any applicable prizes or matching funds.
An organization must immediately notify El Paso Giving Day of any change affecting its eligibility through December 31, 2026.
El Paso Giving Day is a program of PdNCF. All donations are subject to the ultimate control of PdNCF and its board.

Matching Fund Guidelines

Meta’s The Future Is for Everyone Fund

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, eligible donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000 per qualifying organization. Meta matching funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the full $2.5 million is exhausted or until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, whichever comes first. A match is not guaranteed.
To qualify for the Meta match, a gift must be made through the El Paso Giving Day website using an eligible payment option: electronic check (bank draft), credit card, or the available option for an eligible donor-advised fund at PdNCF.
Payments made outside the El Paso Giving Day website are not eligible for Meta matching funds. This includes cash or checks delivered to the PdNCF office or to any workshop, training session, or event.
An organization with other matching funds must fully deplete all of those funds before it becomes eligible for Meta matching funds.
An organization affiliated with a 501(c)(4) organization is not eligible for Meta matching funds, even if it is otherwise eligible to participate in El Paso Giving Day.

All Other Matching Funds

Matching funds secured from individual, corporate, foundation, or other partners must have a signed matching funds agreement on file. An organization must meet all of its other matching fund commitments before becoming eligible for the Meta match.
Organizations are encouraged to deplete their other matching funds during Early Giving, which runs from 12:00 a.m. on October 8 through 11:59 p.m. on October 14, 2026. Doing so allows an otherwise eligible organization to qualify for Meta matching funds when they become available at 8:00 a.m. on October 15, subject to availability.
Gifts intended to count toward non-Meta matching funds may be made through the El Paso Giving Day website using an eligible payment option: electronic check (bank draft), credit card, or the available option for an eligible donor-advised fund at PdNCF.
Under the non-Meta matching fund rule, payments made by check or cash to PdNCF may also be applied to eligible matching funds if received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. These payments do not qualify for the Meta match.

Donor Terms

Donors to El Paso Giving Day 2026 understand and agree as follows:

El Paso Giving Day is a program of PdNCF, and all donations are subject to the ultimate control of PdNCF and its board.
Early Giving runs from October 8 through October 14, 2026. El Paso Giving Day takes place on October 15, 2026.
Gifts processed through El Paso Giving Day are made to PdNCF. PdNCF will issue the tax receipt. Participating nonprofits may send thank-you letters for gifts designated to them but may not issue a second tax receipt.
El Paso Giving Day may collect bank drafts up to one week after El Paso Giving Day.
No goods or services may be exchanged for a donation through El Paso Giving Day. Neither a participating organization nor anyone raising funds on its behalf may offer time, products, admission, or other benefits in exchange for a donation.
A donation is not guaranteed to receive matching funds. Eligibility depends on the applicable matching fund rules, timing, and availability.
El Paso Giving Day will not sell donor information. El Paso Giving Day and PdNCF may communicate with donors about surveys, newsletters, and general education about philanthropy.

Fees

The following processing fees apply to card donations made through the El Paso Giving Day website:

All card payments are processed as card-not-present transactions. Donors may make an additional contribution to cover the processing fee so that their intended gift amount goes to the designated nonprofit organization. No processing fee is assessed on gifts made by electronic check (bank draft).

El Paso Giving Day reserves the right to amend, modify, or waive these terms and conditions without a participating organization’s or donor’s consent and to interpret them in its sole discretion.

Before posting: The October 18 Meta deadline and the allowance for checks or cash toward non-Meta matches above come from the terms you supplied. They conflict with other EPGD communications, including the homepage’s October 15 Meta deadline. Please confirm those two operational rules with your team so donors and nonprofits receive the same instructions everywhere.
