I have been involved with the Paso del Norte trail for more than 5 years and have seen it expand to more than 20 miles. My dream is to see the trail completely connected from the Rio Grande River Park Trail to Tornillo. We are getting closer to that dream. In the next five years, more than 20 additional miles are scheduled to be constructed in central El Paso, Socorro, Fabens, and Tornillo!
The trail is special to me because it provides a safe place for us El Pasoans to walk or bike. However, the trail will be more than just a trail. Once completed, each section will reflect the geography and culture of the surrounding neighborhoods. It will be a gatehring place for friends and a space for community events. If you haven’t visited the trail, go. You will see why the Paso del Norte Trail is special.
Please help me reach my $1000 goal and donate to the trail this Giving Day. Donations will go towards irrigation to expand the tree canopy on the trail. And, your donation will be matched through a generous donation from Marathon Petroleum and Pecos West United Grid Project!
See you on the trail!
