CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a global humanitarian response organization that brings immediate aid and long-term recovery solutions to underserved communities. When a crisis strikes, CORE responds immediately to fill gaps, mobilize resources, and establish trust and collaboration from within communities.
A more equitable future starts with addressing the intersection of disaster and social justice. Head on.
When a crisis strikes, CORE responds immediately to fill gaps, mobilize resources, and establish trust and collaboration from within communities to empower them to break these vicious cycles. We are not saviors who swoop in with heavy boots and a master plan. We’re a nimble organization that quickly adapts to communities’ needs as they evolve. Our efforts are fueled by local hands, and we partner with local leaders, organizations, governments, and other stakeholders to bring equitable relief directly to those who need it most.
CORE is committed to working at the U.S.-Mexico border and will continue to advocate and solicit funding support to empower local organizations to meet the needs of newly arrived migrants, asylum seekers and refugees.
Through building these collaborations and coordination we can mitigate duplication of services, and ensure NGOs, CBOs, CSOs, and faith-based organizations are efficiently able to serve the migrants, refugees and asylees who pass through the County of El Paso, Texas with dignity and respect. We will work with the current operations in place and continually assess, adapt and modify our operations to meet the needs of the migrants and implement best practices along the way.
