PBS has always been a cornerstone of my life. I think back to those hot summers at my grandparents’ house, while my mom worked and we had no cable, PBS was a constant companion. My grandmother tried her best to keep my sister and I entertained, but there was only so much to do in 100+ degree heat. As a single mother of two, my mom chose to forgo cable to better manage our budget, and PBS filled that void. Shows like Clifford, Arthur, and Sesame Street made my childhood magical and educational. Even when we could finally afford cable, I continued to tune into PBS for its exceptional programming.

Now, years later, I’m proud to work for PBS El Paso. I cherish the memories of my favorite PBS Kids characters and feel honored to contribute to such a vital community resource.
