Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for stopping by my fundraising page! I’m excited that you’re considering making a donation to Family Service of El Paso (FSEP). This nonprofit mental health agency has been a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally, and I’m hopeful that through this fundraiser, you’ll get a glimpse of the incredible impact FSEP has on our community.

FSEP’s mission is to provide affordable mental health counseling services to our local community while training the next generation of mental health clinicians. We currently provide hands-on training to master’s-level students in mental health programs at universities throughout the region.

With the support of our community and generous donors, we’re able to provide students with meaningful clinical experience through rigorous internships that require 280 direct counseling hours. This means our students have the opportunity to work directly with individuals, families, and couples, serving clients as young as 5 years old. At the same time, FSEP is able to make mental health services more accessible by offering reduced-cost counseling to individuals and families who may be experiencing financial challenges or who are unable to obtain health insurance.

Your donation will directly support the resources our interns and clinicians need to grow and provide quality care. Donations can help provide therapeutic toys for our child play therapy room, therapeutic miniatures for our Sandtray Therapy room, replacement office furniture to help create a calming and welcoming environment, and additional training for our clinical supervisors so they can continue guiding students and staying up to date on new therapy techniques and modalities.

If you’re an FSEP alum, I hope you look back warmly on your own experience completing your clinical hours and consider paying it forward to the next generation of clinicians. Many of us were once students looking for a place to learn, grow, and gain the experience we needed to become the clinicians we are today. Now, we have an opportunity to help provide that same experience for someone else.

FSEP is a community, and that community continues to grow through kindness, support, and dedication. Any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated and can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, clinicians, and the clients we serve.
