My story…

I found We Hike because my daughter pushed me to stop hiking alone. It has now been a year since a joined the hike in 2023 and now I am part of board foe We Hike.

The mountains and trails have given me peace.I learned quickly after my first miles walking the trails that the heat id the sun, the dust from my boots moving the dirt, the cactus scratching my legs, that the mountains gave me that sense of peace and presence with my own self.

The trails give many hikers comfort to heart and soul. To many of is this is not just about physical well being but much more.

The trails give us the platform to listen and hear other reasons for hiking. Most times aside from beautiful scenery, what unites me to a fellow hiker in silence are very personal reason that even we dont share them aloud, we all know we are here to recharge our souls.
