Education is something that has undoubtedly given generations the opportunity to achieve aspirations and reach goals. However, it is common knowledge that not everyone can obtain such opportunities. This common knowledge led me to my own mission—to be part of the change.
As an intern at PBS El Paso, I found myself surrounded by communities that inspire a sense of humanitarianism. I met fronterizos and fronterizas whose mission is to give back to our community through food, art, history, comedy, and music. Before my time in PBS El Paso, I defined the borderland as El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, only to then learn that the borderland includes Socorro, San Elizario, Las Cruces, El Paso, and Ciudad Juárez.
PBS El Paso is dedicated to educational resources through events like Be My Neighbor and Back to School Bash, completely free of charge.
PBS El Paso is dedicated to uplifting the mission, achievements, and stories of fronterizos through local programs like Only in El Paso, El Paso Physician, and Frontera Connected.
PBS El Paso is dedicated to serving the borderland while expanding access to lifelong learning
Help us continue investing in our community through education.
