I’ve spent more than 30 years in business. I’ve walked into thousands of homes, and I have seen firsthand what a safe, comfortable home can mean to a family. But over the years, I’ve also realized that a home is about so much more than four walls, a roof, and windows. A home is where children feel safe. It’s where families make memories. It’s where parents can give their children a better start in life. It’s a place where people can have hope for the future. That’s why I choose to serve on the board of Habitat for Humanity El Paso. I believe that if you have been fortunate enough to build a successful business and have the ability to give something back, you have a responsibility to do it. For me, this isn’t simply about writing a check or donating a product. It’s about using what I’ve spent my career learning and building to make a real difference in someone’s life. That’s also why Window Team USA donates the windows and our labor to every Habitat home we can. Windows are what we do every day. We have the people, the experience, and the resources to make a difference. So when Habitat builds a home for a deserving family, I want Window Team to be part of that story. When I stand in one of those homes and look at the windows we installed, I know we’re not just putting windows in a house. We’re helping create a place where a family will wake up on Christmas morning. We’re helping create a bedroom where a child can feel safe. We’re helping create a kitchen, where a family will gather around the table. And someday, that family may look out through one of those windows and realize, “This is our home. We did it.” I don’t believe success is measured only by what we build for ourselves. I believe it’s also measured by what we are willing to build for others. Habitat gives us the opportunity to do exactly that. I’m proud that Window Team USA can give more than Windows. We can give a family, a little more comfort, a little more security, and, hopefully, a whole lot more hope. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I serve. And that’s why Window Team will continue to show up.
