Gustavo and I started our journey 24 years ago at PdN Children’s. He started receiving services from the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program where he received therapy and I received education and support. After completing the program, he went to school and attended the after-school program offered by the Inclusive Early Learning Center (IELC) at PdN. He also enjoyed amazing summers in the summer camp. My other son Diego (right side) started his educational journey at 2 years of age in the IELC, he got to learn from the wonderful teachers and his amazing peers. This is when he understood the importance of an inclusive education. At the same time that all of these things were happening, I was lucky and got hired to work in the Community Resource Center (CRC) department. The center provided my family with so many opportunities. It has been a very enjoyable journey. We as a family, are so grateful for all the services and supports that PdN Children’s has offered.
