My name is Lisa Smith, ballet teacher, and professor at UTEP.

I had a stroke in January 2020 and I have aphasia, difficulty speaking clearly.

I’ve worked hard to walk and talk again. And I’m saying to you, let’s go more!!!

In June I lead a dance class where people with aphasia and brain injury were there.

I am a member of the El Paso Aphasia groups and it helps me quite a lot with talking!
