At DMRS, our mission is to provide free and low cost legal services for the immigrant population each and every day. For the past 25 years, I have devoted a part of my life serving newcomers and standing beside them by providing the best valuable support and customer service. As I have served thousands of immigrants, DMRS has also given me the great opportunity to work consistently making sure that every immigrant of different age groups and cultural backgrounds are given great customer service with an immense opportunity to help them become legal permanent residents or United States citizens of this great nation. My position as a Managing Accredited Representative has allowed me to represent many clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the American Consulate, and the U.S. Department of State. During my years at DMRS, I have learned and studied immigration law to help clients with topics related to citizenship, naturalization, adjustment of status, consular processing, refugee/asylum, Cuban Adjustment Act, deportations, waivers, employment authorizations, lawful permanent residency, Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and other general legal immigration matters.

To newly naturalized U.S. citizens like PattiRey, YOU BELONG

PattiRey is a devoted single mother of six and a local artist who founded an arts and wellness nonprofit organization in Socorro, Texas. PattiRey obtained a green card over thirty years ago and recently decided to apply for naturalization. I guided PattiRey through the application process, preparation for the USCIS interview and the civics/history test. Following the oath ceremony, this is what PattiRey had to say about why becoming a citizen is so important:

“My parents were immigrants. They came to this country with one goal, to GIVE their children a better life. Their hard work, resilience and dedication had always been an inspiration for me. Second, there was a fear deeply rooted in me. I was challenged with thoughts of not belonging. It affected my sense of belonging. The Pursuit of Happiness is for ALL - born in this country or not. When I learned this in the declaration, it transcended, it lifted the Fear I was carrying. I embraced the FREEDOM and Belonging for the first time in my life. I love this country. I serve it with Love and Humility. Thank you everyone at DMRS for your service!”

This is one way that DMRS has extended to the immigrant community on daily basis to help thousands of people just like PattiRey. DMRS needs your help to keep providing these free and low cost legal services. Your contribution to DMRS is greatly appreciated! To help reach my goal of $100 I invite you to please make a donation as little as $10.

Thank you for helping DMRS to continue to serve immigrants who come to this country searching for peace, love, and freedom!
