Independence has always been something very important to me - I am not one that likes to ask for help. When I was first introduced to RTEP, it was through the SHEBuilds Program. This program empowers women to be independent and complete basic repairs in their home, allowing them to sustain their household without relying on someone else as well as saving money. Basic things like shutting off the water, patching drywall, fixing a leaky toilet and others are tasks a suprising amount of not only women, but people have never been exposed to. Little did I know that I would be responsible for my own home repairs in the future to ensure myself and my son are able to live comfortably and safely. My ask is for your support to allow RTEP to continue to teach women basic home repairs.
