This year, I am supporting the Paso del Norte Trail’s “Keep It Growing” campaign during the Paso del Norte Community Foundation’s Giving Day. The trail is a project close to my heart, helping our region thrive by connecting communities, supporting wellness, and honoring our desert environment. The Paso del Norte Trail, a signature initiative of the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, is building a continuous, multi-use trail system that promotes health, sustainability, and connection across our region. Each mile is a place where neighbors gather, families explore, and our community grows stronger together. For Giving Day 2025, the focus is on expanding irrigation along the trail. Water is life in our desert. Without it, we cannot grow the trees and plants that bring shade, comfort, and beauty to our trail users. Irrigation is the foundation that allows the trail to keep growing, making space for more native trees, greener landscapes, and cooler places for walking, running, and cycling. With your support, we can Keep It Growing by installing more sustainable irrigation systems that fuel the trail’s future. Every gift helps ensure that the Paso del Norte Trail not only survives but thrives, bringing shade, clean air, and beauty to generations to come.
