We are Los Tucanes de Estrella, a Mexican music group using our voice and platform to stand in solidarity with immigrant communities. We’re not just about music, we’re about movement. We are legal advocates fighting for the dignity and freedom of immigrants in detention and facing deportation.
Every dollar you give goes directly to helping people detained by ICE, facing deportation, or fighting to stay with their families.
Why We’re Fundraising Every day, thousands of immigrants are detained, separated from their families, and forced to navigate a complex legal system — often alone.
We’re raising funds to support:
• People currently detained by ICE, many with no criminal history.
• Individuals fighting deportation proceedings, whether detained or released.
• People seeking bond or parole so they can return home to their families.
Estrella del Paso provides FREE legal help, assistance with translation, court prep, and representation.
• 70.8% of people in ICE detention have no criminal history.
• In FY 2025, ICE detained 58,766 individuals across the U.S.
• In Texas alone, ICE detained 13,307 people.
• In August 2025, ICE arrested 28,306 and CBP arrested 4,057 people, funneling them into detention.
• In 2024, Estrella’s Legal Orientation Program (LOP) served 13,280 individuals in detention.
• Estrella’s Unaccompanied Minors Program (UMP) represented 434 detained children.
• Estrella attorneys conducted 6,023 consultations with detained children in ORR shelters.
From El Salvador to Asylum Estrella del Paso’s Legal Orientation Program provided pro-bono support to a young man from El Salvador who was seeking asylum. A judge denied bond for the young man, whichc meant he had to remain inside an ICE detention center while he pursued his asylum claim. The case was referrred to Estrella’s Removal Defense team of attorneys and legal assistants who guided the young man through his final asylum hearing. The team provided legal prep, translation help, and additional legal support. We are grateful to report the young man was granted Asylum.
Escaping Torture in Cameroon A Cameroonian man fled his home country after fleeing beatings and military torture. Estrella del Paso encountered him inside an ICE detention center and helped him with asylum orientation, translating documents, and offered legal guidance. In February 2025, the man was granted Asylum.
Fleeing Political Violence in Venezuela A Venezuelan woman fled her country after being tortured and held illegally in jail. She reached the U.S. seeking asylum. The team at Estrella del Paso gave her the tools and guidance to fight her case case. In May 2025, she was granted Asylum.
