Yes, I work for this organization. But having first hand experience has allowed me to witness the conditions of some our neighbor’s homes. This has made me go home every day, extra thankful for the smaller things- a locking door, a safe neighborhood, a tile floor, a ceiling with no holes in it, a stove that works… All things I’d taken for granted before. My only wish is that we could fund the repairs for every single family that requested them. At the very least, I would love to continue working through our waiting list and help them all, one at a time.
