I have seen what happens when a child walks into La Nube and realizes this place is for them.
There is a moment when hesitation turns into excitement. They begin asking questions. They try something unfamiliar. Suddenly, learning feels joyful and full of possibility. That moment is why I care so deeply about this work.
La Nube is a nonprofit working to ensure that a family’s income never determines whether their child can access high-quality STEAM education. Our Museums for All participation rate averages 38%, exceeding reported rates at museums across Texas and the nation. We are reaching families who need this access, but keeping it available requires ongoing support.
Every day at La Nube, I watch something extraordinary happen.
A child’s face lights up when an experiment finally works. A young visitor discovers that science can feel like play. A family explores, laughs, and learns together. Sometimes, it is a child’s very first museum visit.
Those moments stay with me. They also remind me that too many children in our community are still waiting for their chance.
That is why I have set a personal fundraising goal of $1,000.
Through Meta’s matching opportunity, eligible donations will be doubled. A gift of $10 can become $20. If I reach my goal, together we could generate $2,000 to help more children experience La Nube.
I cannot reach this goal alone. If this mission speaks to you, please give what you can. Your donation will help a child walk through our doors and know that discovery belongs to them, too.
