History of Our Chapter

On September 6, 2022, a handful of Sul Ross alumni got together to discuss the possibility of starting up a new alumni chapter in El Paso. From that small meeting, a plan was set in motion to reach out and invite other alumni from The 915 to a Chapter Planning Meeting on October 8, 2022. On the agenda was laying out a vision for the Chapter and to take nominations for Chapter Officers. A slate of six officers were elected and an Inaguration Ceremony was later held on Saturday, November 5, 2022. The 915 Lobos-El Paso Chapter was officially born. In January of 2026, a new group of officers were installed and they continue the work that the founding members started.

What We Do

We raise funds to provide scholarships for students from The 915 to attend Sul Ross, attend Letter of Intent signing ceremonies for future student-athletes, assist with recruitment/college fairs, put together Alumni Mixers, help welcome the newest alumni members at graduation ceremonies, attend athletic events, participate in Homecoming activities, put together an annual golf tournament, hold a yearly Sul Ross Night at the EP Chihuahuas baseball game, sponsor a Homecoming Hike to The Desk, promote Sul Ross on local TV and radio, take part in community service projects, create special events about Sul Ross for the community and support our fellow Chapters at their events.
