“Changing the world…one child at a time.” At A World For Children, these words are more than our motto—they are at the heart of everything we do. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, valued, and loved. For children entering foster care, that sense of security may have been disrupted by abuse, neglect, loss, or circumstances beyond their control. They often enter care during one of the most uncertain times of their lives, needing not only a safe place to stay, but also patience, stability, connection, and hope. Our foster parents are everyday people who make an extraordinary difference by opening their homes and providing children with the opportunity to experience the comfort, routines, and everyday moments of childhood. They create safe and nurturing environments where children can attend school, participate in activities, build relationships, celebrate milestones, and simply have the chance to be kids. Alongside our foster families, A World For Children staff provide trauma-informed care, ongoing guidance, training, and support to both the foster family and the child. We also work closely with CPS and other professionals involved in each child’s care to help ensure their individual needs are met and that families have the resources and support they need throughout their foster care journey. But we cannot do this work alone. Your support helps us continue serving foster children and families throughout the El Paso community. Donations help provide clothing and essential items, educational support, special activities, celebrations, family resources, and meaningful experiences that help children feel seen, supported, and included. Sometimes, it is the little things that leave the biggest impact—a new outfit for the first day of school, a birthday celebration, a holiday gift, an extracurricular activity, or simply having the opportunity to participate in the same experiences as other children.
