At the Armed Services YMCA El Paso, we are more than just a nonprofit — we are a lifeline and a “Home Away From Home” for military families stationed at Fort Bliss and the greater El Paso community. For over 100 years, we have been dedicated to Strengthening Military Families by offering free or low-cost programs and services that address the unique challenges they face.

From the strain of long deployments to the constant transitions between duty stations, military life comes with hurdles that can leave families feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and in need of support. That’s where we come in. Whether it’s offering a safe space for children through our Operation Hero and after-school Programs, supporting new parents with Operation Little Learners, or battling food insecurity, we are here to ensure that no military family has to face these challenges alone.

A few key highlights of 2024 have been:

• Serving over 10,000 households of the Fort Bliss and El Paso communities nearly 500,000 pounds of food in our Cost-Free Food Market
• Provided hundreds of hours of FREE childcare so military families can attend medical appointments
• Providing critical consistencies for children focusing on social, emotional and cognitive programming
• Offering 11,900 meals to children in the community during the Summer months
• Providing military and civilian families low-cost or free child care in our state licensed Child Development Center
