Every Cat Deserves a Chance
Imagine being born outside with no food, no shelter, and no one to care for you.
For thousands of stray, abandoned and feral cats in El Paso, this is reality.
In 2006, Cat Rescue Corporation was founded after volunteers saw an overwhelming number of homeless cats living around the University of Texas at El Paso and the surrounding neighborhoods. They knew something had to be done.
What started as one small group of compassionate individuals has now grown into a lifesaving mission that continues today.
For nearly 20 years, Cat Rescue Corporation has helped reduce the feral cat population through Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) while providing food, shelter, and veterinary care to cats that have nowhere to go.
When a cat is rescued, it is humanely trapped and taken to a veterinarian where it is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given a medical evaluation when needed. Cats receive treatment for injuries, infections, and other medical needs before being released. Once recovered, community cats are returned to the area they know best, preventing thousands of unwanted kittens from being born while allowing them to live healthier lives.
Not every cat returns outside.
Friendly cats and kittens are placed with loving foster families where they receive care, comfort, and a second chance until they find their furr-ever home.
Cat Rescue Corporation does not operate a shelter. Instead, every dollar goes directly toward what matters most:
Every day, our volunteers answer calls about abandoned kittens, injured cats, and hungry colonies that depend on us for survival. We are continously looking for dedicated people to volunteer to help with feeding, transporting, and fostering.
** We can’t do it alone,You Can Help Save Lives!**
No gift is too small. Every donation helps provide food, medical care, and hope for El Paso’s homeless cats. Together, we can give them the second chance they deserve. 🐾
