Building More Opportunities for Homeownership in El Paso

For more than four decades, the El Paso Housing Finance Corporation has been committed to expanding housing opportunities and helping make homeownership more attainable for families in our community.

The El Paso HFC works to provide programs and resources that help individuals and families overcome some of the financial barriers associated with purchasing a home. One of those programs is the Mi Casa Homebuyer Grant Program, created to help eligible homebuyers with the down payment and closing costs of purchasing a home.

More than 100 families have been helped through the Mi Casa program on their journey to becoming homeowners. Behind every number is a family, a set of keys, and a new chapter made possible through access to homeownership assistance.

But the work doesn’t stop there…

The El Paso HFC believes that increasing access to homeownership strengthens families and contributes to a stronger El Paso. When a family has the opportunity to purchase a home, they aren’t simply gaining a property- they’re gaining the opportunity to establish roots and build toward their future.
