El Paso Unlimited provides a variety of activities and events for special needs individuals. Our main sports activity is soccer, which provides many health benefits and also fosters teamwork. Bowling is another one of our activities, which not only provides opportunities for individual achievement but also mutual support and encouragement. We have named our sports team the El Paso Bighorns, which are strong ambassadors for the El Paso region. Our Bighorns players will represent their community with pride, determination, and strength in regional and state-level competitions with Special Olympics Texas. Besides sports competition, we do arts and crafts with our special needs individuals and their families. Recently they learned several techniques with clay and they will also explore painting, photography, and other art activities. One of the future activities will evolve around music. They’ll also go into nature, which will combine several activities to maximize fun learning. These STREAM activities help our participants learn new skills, express themselves, and become more socially active and confident.

El Paso Unlimited’s wonderful family of participants includes individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other special needs conditions, all working together to reach new heights.
