FirstLight Community Foundation
The mission of the FirstLight Community Foundation is to elevate individual and community financial wellness. We do this by: 1) Cultivating partnerships with local schools/universities, trade and technical schools to provide in-person and virtual financial education 2) Collaborating through outreach programs--working with community and non-profit organizations to build financial awareness 3) Empowering through grantmaking and member contributions--providing educational scholarships to El Paso, Fort Bliss, and Las Cruces graduates In 2021, the FirstLight Community Foundation received 439 scholarship applications--a 357% increase over prior year. And while we were able to provide 19 scholarships--we want to do more to assist with the educational journey of so many deserving youth and we need your help!
