Grief Support El Paso was initially formed in 2015 to respond to the need in the El Paso Community for support and resources for grieving persons who have suffered loss, whether it be the death of a loved one or pet, a divorce, deployment. separation of or from family or other life transitions.
From the beginning there was a commitment to include people of all beliefs and from all walks of life. GSEP is a completely volunteer organization guided by the Leadership Team, a group of committed, caring, and encouraging people. Each has experienced deep grief in their own lives and has been moved to provide a supportive community for others during their grief journey.
They are joined by peer-to-peer volunteer Grief Facilitators trained to listen to, affirm and encourage people who are grieving.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our grief support. Please consider volunteering to: • serve as a grief facilitator, companion or on the Leadership Team (training is provided) • serve as a greeter or hospitality coordinator • help enrich our current services and develop new resources and support • provide administrative support
Any amount is very appreciated!
