Habitat for Humanity El Paso
Safe and affordable housing is a basic human right. HFHEP makes this a reality for families who couldn't otherwise afford it.

Causes: Homelessness and Housing

We are Habitat for Humanity of El Paso, an affiliate of the globally recognized organization, Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit, Christian based organization, dedicated to providing affordable housing to people in El Paso County.

We do this by recruiting and involving companies and volunteers that generously contribute their time, talents, materials and money to build and renovate houses for low income families.

We do not provide housing for free, but rather make the cost of housing and financing more affordable to those who are able to take on a mortgage payment, and who are willing to contribute their own time and labor to the effort. We view this as a “hand up”, not a “hand out”

Habitat for Humanity of El Paso was established in 1989. It has since built over 60 homes; rehabbed 18 houses and is making repairs to several more that have placed eligible low-income families in our homeowner program…the key to breaking the cycle of poverty for many.
