El Paso is our home. We believe caring for our community means helping people recognize exploitation, making it easier to report concerns, and offering practical support to those who need it.
Harbor Alliance, Inc. is a growing El Paso-based nonprofit guided by three principles: Educate. Connect. Prevent. Our mission reaches beyond hospitality to families, businesses, community organizations, and public spaces throughout the borderland.
This El Paso Giving Day, your donation helps us expand prevention efforts and develop new ways to serve our community. We are raising funds for education, care-package supplies, free reporting software, camera donations, safety equipment, and the work needed to put those resources into use.
Your gift helps pay for developing and delivering free prevention training, online learning resources, and community education. It also contributes toward designing, printing, and distributing awareness cards, posters, and resource guides.
The purpose is to help employees, families, and members of the public recognize possible manipulation and exploitation, understand safe reporting options, and find appropriate support. We want to bring this information into workplaces, community events, airports, and other public spaces—not limit it to one industry or an online course. ** ### Care Packages for Vulnerable Neighbors and Families**
We are planning care-package outreach for people experiencing homelessness and families facing hardship. Donations can help purchase water, shelf-stable snacks, socks, hygiene products, packaging supplies, and printed information about available community resources.
Our goal is to meet immediate needs with dignity while helping people connect with trusted support. These packages are intended as practical assistance, without conditions or anything expected in return—not as a substitute for housing, professional services, or longer-term care.
We also plan to provide care packages for first responders, including hydration supplies, snacks, and basic comfort items. Your contribution helps purchase and prepare these supplies as a practical expression of support for the people who serve our community during demanding shifts and emergencies.
Through our developing Harbor Watch initiative, we are working on reporting and camera-assisted safety tools for participating businesses and community organizations. We intend to make reporting software available free so cost does not prevent people from documenting concerns and directing them to appropriate human reviewers.
Donations help pay for software development, hosting, security testing, privacy safeguards, and technical support. They can also fund affordable nodes: small on-site computers that run the software and help organize information for authorized review.
A working installation requires more than a computer or camera. Your gift can contribute toward new or refurbished cameras, storage, equipment racks, network switches, cabling, power supplies, mounts, and installation materials. Racks organize and protect equipment; switches connect the cameras and computers. Funding also supports setup, testing, staff instruction, and maintenance.
Where equipment or installation work is donated, contributions can cover the remaining needs. The goal is a usable system—not equipment left in a box. These tools are being developed to support responsible human review, not make criminal accusations or replace emergency services.
We hope to develop outreach with the local Tigua community, beginning with listening and seeking guidance from community members and leadership. Proposed support includes educational materials, care-package supplies, and family-focused prevention activities shaped through consultation and agreement.

Our compassion also extends to animals. We are developing an animal-welfare initiative intended to help document suspected cruelty or abandonment and bring concerns to people equipped to respond.
Donations can contribute toward authorized camera installations, affordable node computers, secure recording storage, weather-resistant equipment, power, connectivity, and maintenance. Funding also helps develop educational materials about recognizing and safely reporting animal-welfare concerns.
The purpose is to support human review and appropriate referrals to animal-welfare services or authorities, while protecting sensitive information. We want animals in need of assistance to be harder to overlook.
Your donation also helps cover the everyday costs behind these efforts: online platforms, communications, program coordination, equipment upkeep, and essential administration. These expenses help keep resources accessible and projects supported after their initial launch.
This campaign supports the priorities described above and the operating costs needed to carry them out. Gifts contribute toward these shared needs rather than guaranteeing a particular purchase or an allocation to every initiative. New programs will move forward as funding, necessary approvals, permissions, and community participation allow.
Our long-term vision is a borderland free from human trafficking and exploitation, where vulnerable people and families can find support and cruelty is not ignored. We are starting here at home, with the hope of bringing what we build and learn to more communities.
