Every production begins with an empty stage.

Then something remarkable happens. Young people walk through the doors, pick up a script, step behind a light board, build a set, try on a costume, learn a new skill, find their voice — and together, they create something that did not exist before.

For nearly four decades, KIDS-N-CO. has created those opportunities for young people in El Paso. Through theater classes, productions, camps, and hands-on experience both onstage and behind the scenes, participants learn far more than how to put on a show. They learn to collaborate. They solve problems. They take creative risks. They gain confidence. And they discover that there is a place for their talents — whether they are standing under the spotlight or helping make the magic happen from backstage.

KIDS-N-CO. is also part of a larger theater community. Through Next Stage Theater Company, that creative journey can continue, giving artists opportunities to keep learning, performing, mentoring, and contributing to live theater in El Paso.
