Twenty years ago, the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation began with a vision for a stronger future for El Paso and the Paso del Norte region.

Today, that vision has grown into a regional effort to strengthen health care, life sciences, innovation, workforce development, and economic opportunity.

Over the past 20 years, we have worked alongside community partners, educators, health care leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators to create opportunities that make our region stronger.

Clinical Trials

• Through programs like the Clinical Trials, we are helping build a skilled clinical research workforce, expand opportunities to participate in medical research, and strengthen our region’s capacity to support advanced health care and innovation.

Innovation Center

• Through the Melinda and Meyer Marcus Foundation Innovation Center, we support health care and life sciences entrepreneurs as they turn ideas into solutions. From mentorship and education to connections, resources, and access to lab space, we help innovators move from concept to impact.

STEM

• STEM Innovation Lab Camps engage students in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities, sparking curiosity and inspiring future STEM careers. By equipping young learners with critical thinking skills and practical experience, the program builds a pipeline of skilled talent ready to tackle the region’s healthcare and technology challenges.
