Moms on Board is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the Borderplex region a more family-friendly place to live, work, and play.

In 2024, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of the All-Abilities Playground at Ascarate Park—a space where children of all abilities can play side by side. Building on that momentum, in partnership with the City of Sunland Park, we’re thrilled to announce our next big community project: Dino Dig at the Sunland Park Sports Complex!

What is Dino Dig?

Dino Dig is an interactive play space designed for children of all abilities. In a bed of soft, fine sand, young explorers will discover replica dinosaur fossils inspired by real discoveries from our region. Complete with fossil and egg excavation zones, dinosaur play structures, shaded gathering areas, and educational signage linking to the world-famous Dino Tracks at Mt. Cristo Rey, Dino Dig combines play, learning, and accessibility for everyone.

Why Dino Dig?

Dino Dig will:

• Celebrate our paleontological history with hands-on exploration that connects children to our region’s prehistoric past.
• Promote health and wellness through outdoor play that encourages movement and curiosity.
• Expand family-friendly amenities with a one-of-a-kind attraction at the City of Sunland Park’s Sports Complex.
• Create a unique educational destination that draws families and visitors to our region.
