Mustard Seed Cafe
Serving meals free of charge with no requirements to our beautiful border community.

Causes: Health and Mental Well-being, Hunger, Religion

As a community cafe serving lunches free of charge, we exist to: Feed hungry people and care for their hearts - Be a genuine expression of the love of God in Jesus Christ - Introduce people to Jesus Christ that they might come to saving faith in Him!

The Mustard Seed Cafe provides free tasty, nutritious meals for the community on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 11:00-2:00 pm.

Our amazing team of volunteers and staff prepare and dish an average of 350 meals a day, using donations and fresh produce. Dine-in guests enjoy a nutritious, delicious meal served with love and care in fellowship and community. Meals are delivered by partners and volunteers to five local shelters and precious individuals in many different parts of our community, including UTEP, downtown, the Northeast, the East side, and more. We welcome the elderly, the widow, the orphan, the refugee, families with young children, those without homes, college students, and all who come to our doors.

Whether through our dining room or our to-go meals, all are served with the love of Christ in a tangible way.

Community Meal is held on the last Wednesday of every month to serve those members of our community whose pantries and budgets run thin at the end of the month. The purpose of this meal is for our guests to have a special evening, where they receive the respect and love of our community. Our desire is for visitors to feel relaxed, be comfortable, and enjoy the Cafe, with the assurance that here, they can feel at home. The food is prepared thinking of a healthy menu that represents our beautiful culture. We want guests to spend a time of fellowship, where joy and care feel natural, and they receive dignity along with their meal. Partnering churches and local groups volunteer to prepare and serve the meals, all with a big smile and a heart of love.

Through our Community Meals, we make deeper connections with the members of our beautiful city and develop relationships.

Our Amigos Garden is thriving, creating a space for education and peace for all who visit. Children from neighboring schools and homeschool groups regularly come to learn about gardening in a hands-on, encouraging environment. Volunteers assist our gardeners and learn alongside them as they tend our vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, and beehives. We hold regular seasonal events in the garden where we connect with our community and provide avenues for learning for all! Join us on Saturday, October 21, for our Fall Open House, free of charge! It is truly a special place and we are excited for what is to come.

Thank you for making these wonderful moments happen through your donations. God is glorified and people are fed and encouraged.
