Causes: Health and Wellness, Poverty and Hunger, Religion
We continue to provide free tasty, nutritious meals for the community on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Our amazing team of volunteers and staff are serving anywhere from 190 – 220 meals a day. Some of the meals are being delivered by church partners to precious individuals in the downtown area. Many of these guests/meal recipients are seniors, some of them homeless.
We are also getting ready to start a new outreach program called Que Rico Fridays! We are collaborating with the Braden Aboud Foundation, the College Ministry from First Baptist Church and UTEP BSM college students to make this happen. Starting in October for 10 weeks, we’ll offer a special treat for kids on Friday afternoons from 2-4pm. First up on the menu will be Root Beer Ice Cream Floats! How’s that for an end-of-the-school-week treat? Our prayer is that this effort will encourage families and bring a smile to kids’ faces!
Thank you for making these wonderful moments happen through your donations. God is glorified and people are fed and encouraged.
