Dear Supporters of Navarrete Middle School,

We are honored to be able to participate in the annual El Paso Giving Day on October 16!

#ElPasoGivingDay** is all about local generosity and supporting nonprofits like ours!

Our PTA has been active for 3 years. We started small but are growing every year. In the past we have supported the school by donating backpacks, charging stations, telescopes, movie screens, a school bench, 8th grade tshirts, snacks and water for field day, cardstock, pencils, paying for DJs, creating a hygiene drawer for students, set up a campus and community clean up events, set up a health fair for the community, collect eye glasses to donate to the Lions Club, implemented the National PTA Reflections Art Program, helped organize the Fall and Winter Festivals,Back to School breakfast for staff, Christmas Sweet Treat for staff, and Teacher Appreciation lunch or treat during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Being a Title 1 school and a large population of encomically disadvantaged students, we try and limit asking families for money. Our biggest fundraiser is selling hoodies. We also do a vendor table fundraiser during the Fall and Winter Fairs. We would love to be able to do more for the students and staff, but our budget is limited. A donation to our PTA would help support the students, staff, families, and community of Navarrete.

Our goal is to raise $8000. We plan to use this money to purchase every 8th grader an end of year shirt, provide water/snacks/treats at Field Day, provide Faculty and staff appreciation events, give every student a NMS memento, bring in entertainment for our winter festival, organize a community event in the spring, replenish needed teacher supplies that students have access to, provide a donation to the school to help cover the cost of a sports table, and whatever else the school needs. All our funds go directly back to the school and community in some form or fashion.
