Paso del Norte Children's Development Center
For 76 years, the Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center (PdN Children’s) has been a place of hope for families in El Paso, where children of all abilities are supported and celebrated.

Causes: Children and Youth, Disability Services, Education

As our community grows, so do the needs of children and families. PdN Children’s is expanding to the East Side to ensure every child has access to the therapies, programs, and resources they deserve.

This El Paso Giving Day, your gift goes directly to children. It helps a toddler take their first steps, a child with autism say their first words, and parents find the resources they need to help their family thrive.

With your support, we’ll continue what we’ve done for more than seven decades: walk alongside families, celebrate every milestone, and make sure every child in El Paso has the chance to reach their fullest potential.

PdN Children’s includes the following departments:

Early Childhood Intervention (ECI): A statewide program that provides services for babies from birth to 36 months with developmental delays, disabilities, or a medical diagnosis that impacts development. PdN Children’s ECI supports families with various therapies and services to help their child reach their developmental milestones.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): A naturalistic approach to supporting children with autism spectrum disorders, ABA focuses on teaching new skills and improving specific behaviors through a systematic and evidence-based approach.

Help Me Grow El Paso (HMG EP): A nationwide model that focuses on identifying needs and connecting families to community-based resources. HMG El Paso at PdN Children’s offers a specialized call-line where parents, guardians, and providers can speak to an early childhood specialist to address all their parenting questions.

Pediatric Therapy: Supporting children with a range of developmental needs, PdN Children’s Pediatric Therapy offers speech, occupational, and feeding therapies that are tailored to foster growth, development, and independence.

Inclusive Early Learning Center (IELC): An innovative learning environment where children of all abilities learn side by side, promoting inclusivity, understanding, and mutual growth.

Community Resources Center (CRC): The CRC supports families with children with developmental disabilities by offering parenting classes, case management, academies on autism and ADHD, sibling support groups, and more.

Each program under the PdN Children’s umbrella is backed by a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring that the children and families in their care receive the utmost support, guidance, and love.
