Causes: Animals, Disability Services, Senior Services
Sadly, thousands of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are euthanized at El Paso Animal Services each year. At the root of this problem is a large population of unsterilized dogs and cats, many of whom live in low-income households. Our nonprofit, Pets Alive – El Paso, works to stop the overpopulation and subsequent abandonment and euthanization of companion animals throughout El Paso. Since the formation of our organization, we’ve helped cover the cost of spay/neuter services for thousands of companion animals and been honored by the El Paso Veterinary Medical Association with an annual Community Involvement Award.
There are many low-income members of our community who share an amazing bond with their companion animal and who want to do what is right for them but simply do not have the means. Pets Alive - El Paso assists these individuals in getting their companion animals spayed or neutered and helps puts them on the path of lifetime, proper veterinary care. By supporting our program, you’ll not only save the lives of animals but also help those with limited means including animal-loving families, veterans, seniors and individuals with disabilities.
By reducing the number of unspayed and unneutered dogs and cats in El Paso, we are working toward a day when every animal who needs a home will find one. We are working, surgery by surgery, to make El Paso a no-kill community! Of course, more work is needed in order for us to achieve our ultimate goal and you can help us get there. We hope you’ll donate today to allow us to continue our critical work. Because we are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff members, your entire donation will go directly to this important cause.
On behalf of the dogs, cats and needy families in our community, we appreciate your life-saving support!
