The parish’s Family Development Center was founded as part of our Social Ministries back in the 1990’s to assist and serve vulnerable and impoverished families in our barrio and neighboring areas in their need. Presently, we provide food on Fridays to qualifying families and we offer a number of classes in our adult education programs to empower participants. These include Citizenship, GED, English as a second language, computer literacy, and primary/secondary education in collaboration with the Mexican Consulate and their program for Mexicans who live abroad. We will continue to evaluate needs in our barrio to see how we can expand our ministries to better serve.
