Socorro Community Impact Fund
The Socorro Community Impact Fund exists to elevate the quality of life in Socorro, Texas, by investing in the people, programs, and opportunities that help our community thrive. This El Paso Giving Day, we’re rallying behind two youth groups full of heart: the 915 Valley Dawgs Flag Football Team and the Socorro High School Cross Country Team. These athletes represent our community with pride, determination, and a commitment to one another. Your gift helps ensure that the cost of participating doesn’t stand between their hard work and their next opportunity. Two Teams. One Community Behind Them. Every young person deserves a community that believes in their potential. When you give through the Socorro Community Impact Fund this El Paso Giving Day, you help young athletes take the field, reach the starting line, and build skills they will carry for life. Give today to help Socorro’s youth go further—on the field, on the course, and wherever their futures lead.

Socorro High School Cross Country: Running Toward Bigger Futures

Socorro High School Cross Country is building on a proud tradition of developing athletes and leaders. From freshmen becoming 6A District Champions to varsity runners earning top district finishes and the girls team qualifying for regionals, these Bulldogs continue to show what dedication can accomplish.

The program has helped six runners go on to become collegiate athletes. Its impact also reaches into the classroom, students’ families, and their futures through the confidence, work ethic, leadership, and perseverance they develop along the way.

Your gift helps runners access competitive opportunities beyond Socorro, covering needs such as transportation, lodging, meals, race entry fees, and team equipment. With your support, these student-athletes can test their abilities, pursue their goals, and proudly represent their hometown.

915 Valley Dawgs: Building a Football Family

Founded by two cousins who grew up in the Lower Valley, 915 Valley Dawgs gives young athletes an affordable, positive, and competitive place to grow. Today, the organization serves approximately 70 athletes across five teams, from its 8U division through its high school girls Open Age Division.

Their athletes are already making their mark, earning championships in the high school girls and 10U boys divisions and a second-place finish for the 12U team. Players from the girls program are also beginning to receive opportunities to continue competing at the next level.

Behind those accomplishments is a football family that teaches teamwork, accountability, discipline, and respect. Keeping that opportunity accessible takes community support. Referee fees alone total approximately $1,000 per season, before uniforms, registration, equipment, tournaments, or travel.

Your donation helps cover these costs, provide assistance for families who need it, and open doors to camps, clinics, and opportunities for athletes to develop and be seen.
