Prevention is Protection

We at Sun City Cats have a passionate mission to give every free-roaming cat a chance at a healthy, peaceful life. We believe the most compassionate way to address El Paso’s community cat population is to prevent the suffering before it begins.

We work with the community to provide hope through our proven Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, and humanely reduce the free-roaming cat population in the City and County of El Paso, TX, and the surrounding areas. Since 2013, we have TNR’d over 30,000 cats, preventing hundreds of thousands of unwanted kittens from being born on the streets or entering our municipal shelter.

Sun City Cats also engages and provides extensive education to individuals, groups, schools, neighborhoods, and businesses about cat care and TNR protocol. It is through education that we can significantly impact the way people view and treat cats now and in future generations.

But our work is far from over, and we are facing a critical shortage of resources. Our volunteers tirelessly serve the most disadvantaged areas, where cats are often in the greatest need of help. When a cat is sick or injured, we do everything in our power to provide medical care. But without more funding, we cannot keep up with the demand and are forced to turn away deserving cases.

With your donation, 100% of your gift will go directly to medical services (TNR surgeries, vaccinations, medical care), providing a lifeline for cats that need it most.

Your donation is more than just a contribution—it’s an investment in a future where community cats and people can coexist peacefully.

Please help us:

1. Expand our Trap-Neuter-Return efforts stabilizing populations and preventing suffering.

2. Fund urgent medical care for injured and sick cats, giving them a fighting chance.

3. Educate the next generation of animal advocates by collaborating with programs like Ysleta High School’s Vet Tech Program.

Prevention is Protection It means protecting cats from suffering. Protecting kittens from being born into circumstances where there are not enough homes or resources for them. Protecting our shelter from unnecessary intake. And protecting the progress El Paso has made toward becoming a more humane community.

This El Paso Giving Day, your donation doesn’t simply help one cat today-It helps prevent the next generation from needing our help tomorrow. Together, we can create an El Paso where community cats are treated humanely, populations are stabilized, and fewer cats ever need to enter a shelter.

Prevention is Protection. And it stars with TNR.

We have already changed the course of feline welfare in El Paso by leading the charge to change outdated laws. Now, with your help, we can create an even bigger impact and save more lives.

Please, help us turn desperation into dignity. Your generous donation will give a cat a second chance and bring us one step closer to a city where every feline is safe and cared for. Donate today and become a hero for El Paso’s cats. On behalf of every cat whose life you touch, thank you.
