Welcome! The Child Crisis Center of El Paso (CCCEP) is a distinguished local non-profit organization, operating as a 501(c)(3) entity, and proudly serving the community of El Paso, Texas. Our emergency shelter operates independently of federal funding, relying solely on the generosity of community donations. The children who we serve at our shelter have often endured unimaginable hardships, and it is our utmost priority to ensure their well-being by providing them with essential services. Our shelter serves as a secure sanctuary where children can regain their sense of normalcy, free from concerns of harm, hunger, homelessness, or isolation. Vision The Child Crisis Center will strive to eliminate child abuse and neglect by leading through community collaboration on issues and concerns regarding the protection of children so that they can grow in a healthy, safe and positive family environment, thereby enriching their future. Mission The Child Crisis Center of El Paso protects children from abuse and neglect by providing shelter, advocacy, and family support services. The Child Crisis Center of El Paso (CCCEP), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, began in 1980 with a heartbreaking story that continues to be seen in children at our shelter today.

El Paso’s Only Newborn Nursery Emergency Shelter

For 43 years, the Child Crisis Center of El Paso has been the leading early childhood abuse protection agency in our community with the only crisis children’s nursery protecting newborn babies and we are the only emergency shelter for children who have been abused and neglected. Our 24/7 services provides a safe haven for children ages 0-13 within our facilities. Our single focus is to protect children from further abuse, domestic violence, or experiencing homelessness.

The Child Crisis Center of El Paso also believes that love should not have to hurt - we exist to safeguard against safeguard against the economic slowdowns and downturns of basic needs like shelter and food security, even if only for the short-term, allowing for families to heal from losses caused by the pandemic, August 3rd, addiction, and mental health challenges.

Protecting Children and Preserving Families in our Community

Thanks to you and the support of community, every year we were able to serve children ages 0-13 and provide them with a place to live, eat, play, feel loved and most important feel safe.

Children in our care receive * Essential needs - meals, medical care, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, individual beds and cribs * Transportation to and from the child/youth’s school and childcare facility * Recreational play - indoor and outdoor playground, fieldtrips within El Paso and movies * Tutoring for school-aged children * Therapy services

Case Management * Individual family assessments and service plans developed * Referrals to community resources * Food baskets, diapers, baby formula, school supplies

Additional Services Service Members, Veterans and Families (SMVF) SMVF is designed to support and strengthen military and veteran families in the El Paso/Ft. Bliss community. Services provided are: * STEP Parent Education * Basic Needs (Diapers, Hygiene, etc.) * Temporary respite care through the Child Crisis Center of El Paso emergency shelter
