Our Beginning

The Evelyn Solis Foundation was created by Evelyn’s family to honor her legacy of kindness and resilience. Evelyn’s life was a testimony of faith, love, and giving back—and today, her legacy continues in our mission to uplift women and children experiencing homelessness in the El Paso area.

Our Mission

We create spaces of creativity, fellowship, and community for families in shelters. Our mission is not only to provide support, but to restore dignity, spark joy, and remind families that their story is still being written—and that better days are ahead.

What We Do

• Hosted Dinners: Warm, welcoming meals at local women’s shelters.
• Creative Workshops: Charm bracelet making where each charm tells a story of strength and purpose.
• Book Clubs: Reading together to inspire discovery, growth, and hope.
• Canvas Paint Nights: Creative expression and calm through guided painting.
• Celebrations: Birthdays, summer games, and holiday gatherings that build joyful memories.
• Boutique & Shopping Experiences: A dignified, shop-like experience where women choose clothing and personal-care items.
• Thanksgiving Meals: Sharing gratitude over a warm holiday dinner.
• Christmas Gift Giving: Toys and essentials for children and mothers in shelters.
• Angel Tree Sponsorship: Gifts for children whose parents are incarcerated, ensuring every child feels seen and loved.
• Shelter Support: Essentials, resources, and repair needs addressed with community partners.
