Give Joy. Restore Dignity. Build Stronger Futures.

Help The Evelyn Solis Foundation raise $15,000 to support women, children, and families experiencing hardship across El Paso.

Through El Paso Giving Day, our community can help create meaningful experiences, meet practical needs, and provide encouragement to families navigating difficult circumstances.

Every contribution supports programs centered on family connection, education, wellness, essential resources, seasonal giving, and emergency or transitional assistance.

Your gift does more than support a program. It reminds a family that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Our Beginning

The Evelyn Solis Foundation was created by Evelyn’s family to honor her legacy of faith, kindness, compassion, and resilience.

Evelyn believed in helping people through difficult seasons and taught her family the importance of giving back. She expressed her generosity through simple but meaningful acts, including preparing treats for families, visiting shelters, feeding people in need, and helping others feel cared for and remembered.

Today, her legacy continues through programs that celebrate important moments, strengthen families, meet practical needs, and create opportunities for healing, connection, and hope.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

This scripture continues to guide our family and our work. It reminds us that hardship does not have to define a person’s future and that strength can grow through faith, encouragement, and community.

Our Mission

The Evelyn Solis Foundation supports women, children, and families experiencing hardship by fostering dignity, resilience, healing, and opportunity through community engagement, educational initiatives, wellness programs, essential resources, and charitable events.

We believe effective support should address both immediate needs and the deeper need to feel respected, included, encouraged, and capable of moving forward.

Why This Work Matters

Hardship can interrupt routines, celebrations, family traditions, and many of the everyday experiences that create a sense of stability and belonging.

A child may miss a birthday celebration. A mother may be rebuilding after homelessness, domestic violence, displacement, or financial hardship. A family moving into stable housing may lack basic household items needed for a new beginning.

Our programs and partnerships help families regain meaningful parts of daily life, including:

  • Personal dignity and choice
  • Family connection and belonging
  • Confidence and resilience
  • Celebration and positive memories
  • Practical resources and support
  • Opportunities for a stronger future

Every child deserves to feel celebrated. Every woman deserves encouragement. Every family deserves to know that their present circumstances do not determine their future.

How We Serve

  • Family Celebrations and Enrichment: Birthday experiences, family outings, meals, games, and activities that help children and caregivers spend meaningful time together.
  • Holiday and Seasonal Giving: Thanksgiving meals, Christmas gifts, seasonal celebrations, and family activities that provide comfort during important times of the year.
  • Arts, Reflection, and Wellness: Creative workshops, self-care activities, movement programs, and reflective experiences that promote confidence, calm, and self-expression.
  • Education and Personal Growth: Book clubs, guided discussions, learning activities, mentorship opportunities, and experiences that encourage discovery and future possibilities.
  • Essential Resources: Clothing, food, school supplies, personal-care products, blankets, household items, and other necessities identified through community partners.
  • Emergency and Transitional Assistance: Practical support for families facing urgent needs or moving from temporary shelter into more stable housing.
  • Community Partnerships: Collaboration with shelters, schools, faith communities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, volunteers, and local leaders.

Programs and Experiences in Action

Our work combines practical assistance with experiences that help families reconnect with joy, creativity, confidence, and one another.

Past and ongoing programs have included:

  • Birthday Celebrations: Personalized celebrations that help children feel recognized and valued.
  • Zoo and Family Outings: Enriching opportunities for caregivers and children to spend quality time together.
  • Private Movie Theater Experiences: Special screenings with movies, snacks, gifts, and shared family time.
  • Mother’s Day Brunch and Lip Gloss Workshop: A private celebration honoring mothers through fellowship, self-care, and a creative beauty experience.
  • Summer Family Events: Outdoor activities, food, games, and seasonal celebrations for children and caregivers.
  • Trampoline Park Family Day: A summer outing centered on movement, play, celebration, and positive family memories.
  • Book Clubs and Guided Discussions: Welcoming spaces for reading, reflection, conversation, and personal growth.
  • Creative Workshops: Arts and crafts, canvas painting, and hands-on activities that encourage confidence and self-expression.
  • Charm Bracelet Workshops: Reflective experiences where participants choose charms representing their strengths, stories, goals, and hopes.
  • Women’s Self-Care and Wellness Activities: Programs focused on well-being, relaxation, confidence, and encouragement.
  • Hosted Dinners and Family Meals: Warm meals that create space for conversation, fellowship, and community connection.
  • Thanksgiving Meal Support: Holiday meals that help families experience comfort and togetherness.
  • Christmas Giving: Gifts, family activities, and essential items for children and caregivers during the holiday season.
  • Clothing and Household Resources: Personal-care products, clothing, household essentials, and transitional items provided according to identified needs.

Each program is designed to create more than a single enjoyable moment. It helps families strengthen relationships, build positive memories, and feel supported by their community.
