Causes: Advocacy, Education, Emergency Relief and Response
The Limb Savers Society was founded in October 2020 with a simple but powerful vision: to prevent unnecessary amputations and ensure that every patient has access to the care, education, and support needed to save a limb and preserve quality of life.
What began as a shared commitment among healthcare professionals quickly grew into a community-driven mission. Every day, we witnessed patients facing life-changing amputations, not because treatment was impossible, but because diagnoses were delayed, resources were limited, or patients were unable to navigate an increasingly complex healthcare system.
We knew there had to be a better way.
The Limb Savers Society was established to bridge those gaps by bringing together physicians, nurses, researchers, patient navigators, industry partners, caregivers, and community organizations with one common goal: keeping patients on their feet and living healthier, more independent lives.
Since our founding, our organization has expanded its impact through patient advocacy, educational initiatives, multidisciplinary collaboration, community outreach, and financial assistance for patients facing barriers to care. We support individuals living with diabetes, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), and Critical Limb-Threatening Ischemia (CLTI) by connecting them with life-saving vascular evaluations, wound care resources, transportation assistance, and innovative treatment options.
Education has become one of the cornerstones of our mission. Through community events, professional training, public awareness campaigns, and our annual Critical Limb Ischemia Fighters (CLIF) Conference, we empower healthcare professionals and educate the public about the importance of early detection, timely intervention, and limb preservation.
Today, The Limb Savers Society continues to grow because of the generosity of donors, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community partners who believe that every patient deserves the opportunity to keep their limb, maintain their independence, and live with dignity. Every donation helps us reach another patient, educate another family, and move one step closer to a future where preventable amputations become the exception, not the expectation. Together, we are not just saving limbs, we are changing lives.
