Transforming a place to live into a place to thrive!

“The day after my 18th birthday my mom kicked me out of the house. She didn’t warm me, she just told me to leave. I didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. I stayed with friends, couch surfing for months until someone helped me get an apartment. Then she called someone from UCF and that same night, a lady delivered these wonderful supplies. I didn’t even have a towel to shower or a bed before. She told me she and the UCF board were proud of me and knew I was going to do great things in my life. I didn’t know them, and they believed in me. I later found out that the lady who dropped off all the supplies was the executive director, Diana. She didn’t want me to sleep on the floor or feel sad in my empty apartment. Thank you, UCF”
