The Vocations Ministry of the Diocese of El Paso is a ministry of the Bishop destined to raise greater awareness of every baptized person’s call to service. In a particular way, the Diocesan Vocations Ministry seeks to help young people understand and consider the possibility of God’s call to the priesthood or to a life of consecration as a religious sister or brother. This ministry is of the utmost importance, especially as the numbers of those who respond to this call decrease in many dioceses. Without a sufficient number of priests, Catholics are unable to celebrate and receive the Eucharist and the other sacraments.
