El Paso Giving Day is back!

Everyone near and dear to me knows just how special ARL is to me. I have volunteered at ARL for the last 22 years.

This year I thought I would start fostering again. Oh boy! What a roller coaster of feelings that has been. My first few neonatal kittens didn’t make it, but I can promise you they were loved to the very end. They were in a home, they were safe and they mattered. Another litter of kittens ended up staying in the family. Mom kept Coco Cat and Angelina and Leo kept Oreo.

Then came Elsa and Anna, the emaciated pups, who touched the hearts of so many and brought new friends into my circle, their mom, Kat being one of them. These sweet girls came in with broken bodies and souls and touched mine deeply. Every day they grew stronger and the light in their eyes found its way back. They survived and thrived and once they were ready, Angelina and I had to put our tears aside and let them go. They hit the jackpot with their Mom and Dad and the best part is we get regular updates. The Girls reminded me why ARL is so necessary in our community. ARL provides broken or lost souls a safe place to land, recover and soar again.

I continue to be in awe of the work ARL does and I am blessed to be a part of that work.I am grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of family and friends helping at ARL. Whether it was walking dogs, cuddling puppies, cleaning kennels, fostering, adopting, donating, serving holiday breakfasts, helping at fundraisers, etc. I hope these experiences have been as special and meaningful to you as they are to me.

With that in mind, can you please help me reach my goal wih a donation during El Paso Giving Day. Your support makes it possible for ARL to continue to save and change lives, not only for the four-legged babies but also for the people who are lucky enough to serve and spend time with these precious souls.
