Family Service of El Paso
Family Service of El Paso: Honoring a Legacy, Building the Future For 133 years, Family Service of El Paso has been a place of hope. Since 1892, families have walked through our doors during their most difficult moments — and we’ve welcomed them with care, compassion, and counseling, regardless of their ability to pay. More than 75% of our clients are low income and 87% are Hispanic. They are children facing anxiety, parents navigating depression, families overcoming trauma. At the same time, we are preparing for the future — training graduate student interns and LPC Associates who will become the next generation of mental health professionals for El Paso. Your gift is more than a donation — it’s a way of saying “we believe in mental health care for all.” It’s a way of ensuring that, for another 133 years, no one in our community is left on the sidelines.

Causes: Advocacy, Children and Youth, Health and Mental Well-being

Family Service of El Paso continues to be a lifeline for our community, providing compassionate, accessible mental health care to anyone seeking healing and hope. Every day, our clinicians walk alongside individuals and families facing some of life’s hardest moments — offering support, dignity, and a safe place to rebuild.

One recent example reflects the impact of this work. A young adult came to us carrying the weight of a traumatic experience that had left them anxious, withdrawn, and unsure of how to move forward. Through consistent counseling, trauma‑informed care, and a supportive therapeutic relationship, they slowly began to reclaim their confidence, reconnect with loved ones, and rediscover a sense of safety in their daily life. Their journey is just one of many that remind us why accessible mental health services matter.

This is the heart of Family Service: meeting people where they are, and helping them find strength, resilience, and healing. For more than a century, we’ve been committed to ensuring that mental health care is not a privilege — but a community right
