In early 2026, the Paso del Norte Community Foundation invited four longtime members of the El Paso LGBTQ+ community to form a giving circle. As organizers, nonprofit leaders, and neighbors, we know how hard it is to raise money in our corner of the state, and how many in our community face real challenges in health, housing, mental health, and employment. We also know how resilient we are. Nationally, less than $1 of every $500 donated goes to LGBTQ+ organizations, according to the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. We’re working to change that here.
The Frontera Pride Legacy Fund is built for us and by us. Community members and allies join as members, and each year, members vote on which initiatives to fund. We’re building the fund throughout 2026 and will announce our first award in 2027. We chose “Legacy” because we envision a fund that grows for decades, so future community leaders can carry this vision forward. We’re grateful to the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, our fiscal home, for its investment in this fund. Join us: contribute today and become a member of our giving circle.
