Every day, our of shelter animals sit alone in their kennels, watching potential families walk away, other residents go home, and staff leave at the end of the workday.

For the past three years, the Humane Society of El Paso (HSEP) Board of Directors Member and President/CEO of YourFitPrint, Anton Conlon, has spent 24 hours in a kennel at HSEP to raise awareness for shelter animals during El Paso Giving Day. The experience has allowed Conlon to relate to how shelter residents feel and live while they await their adoption day.

Starting October 14 at 3 PM, Anton has dedicated another year of 24 hours in L2 — or until HSEP raises $35,000! Why? You ask? “We’re a team” Anton says. To shine a light on the thousands of homeless animals HSEP cares for and remind our community why adoption, fostering, and your support matters.

Funds raised will help provide the necessary medical treatment, including life-saving surgeries for shelter animals. Donations will also support HSEP’s foster program, which is 100% free for approved foster families, helping more animals receive the care and temporary homes they need to recover, grow, or wait for adoption.

The Humane Society of El Paso is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to prevent suffering, neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals, by providing information, raising public awareness of animal issues, and promoting responsible guardianship and kindness toward all living things.
