El Paso Diabetes Association
Improve the quality of life of individuals and their families with and at risk of developing diabetes within the El Paso Region

Causes: Education, Health and Wellness

The El Paso Diabetes Association (EPDA) first opened its doors in Mrs. Estelle Goodman’s garage in November of 1968 as a means to provide support for families with children with type 1 diabetes. Today, the EPDA remains one of a handful of local, independent, nonprofit organizations in the nation that offers comprehensive diabetes management, prevention, and support programs. EPDA has taken a leadership position in diabetes management in El Paso, Texas, as one of a handful of nationally accredited diabetes programs within the region.
